Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Martina Azar is a licensed clinical psychologist and bilingual (Spanish-English) neuropsychologist. She completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Drexel University.  She completed her predoctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at VA Boston Healthcare System with special emphasis in neuropsychology and geropsychology.

She has worked with a variety of English and Spanish-speaking individuals, with a particular focus in neurodegenerative memory and movement disorders. She has also worked extensively with individuals with traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and ADHD as well as psychiatric conditions.

She has published 16 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 1 chapter. Her research and clinical practice have mutually informed one another via the lens of public health, neuropsychology, and geriatrics, with particular interest in serving and increasing access to brain health education and tools to traditionally underserved groups (e.g., diagnosis, cognitive rehabilitation).

She has held leadership, supervision and teaching roles over the years as she enjoys collaborative and dynamic work environments as well as mentoring trainees. She has held leadership positions in the Society of Clinical Neuropsychology (Division 40 of American Psychological Association) and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society.
