About
Dr. Jillian Banco is a Postdoctoral Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Abrams while pursuing independent licensure. Throughout her training, she has provided neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy services in community mental health settings, private practice, and academic medical centers, including The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

At Integrated Behavioral Care, Dr. Banco primarily conducts neuropsychological and psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. She also provides individual psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Banco is passionate about mentoring graduate students pursuing careers in psychology. She has served as an affiliate instructor for doctoral students in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland. Her professional interests include ethical, legal, and professional practice issues in psychology.

Outside of work, Dr. Banco enjoys spending time with family, trying new cooking and baking recipes, playing board games with friends, and exploring New England.

Treatment Approach
Dr. Banco provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to help individuals better understand their cognitive, emotional, behavioral, social, and academic functioning. Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s unique concerns and is designed to provide diagnostic clarity, identify strengths and challenges, and offer practical recommendations that support ongoing treatment and success at home, school, work, and in daily life.

Dr. Banco’s overall approach to clinical care is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to helping people better understand themselves. She values developing meaningful therapeutic relationships through collaboration, respect, and a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care. Her work integrates current research and best practices while recognizing the unique experiences and goals of each individual.

In therapy, Dr. Banco takes an integrative and collaborative approach, drawing from evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), and person-centered principles. She works closely with clients to identify meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that promote lasting growth and well-being.

Dr. Banco specializes in neuropsychological and psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with concerns related to, but not limited to: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning and academic difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral and emotional challenges, memory and cognitive concerns, chronic health conditions, substance use concerns, and severe and persistent mental illness.

In therapy, Dr. Banco works with individuals experiencing ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustment concerns, stress and burnout, relationship difficulties, and behavioral and emotional challenges.
