My primary interest and competency is helping people to rediscover their innate capacity to live with a clear, calm, centered, present, peaceful and flexible mind. I enjoy helping people to find their own capacity for insight and for change from within.

My approach is empathic, welcoming, low key, holistic, good humored and respectful. I also try very hard to keep things simple.
Qualifications
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lesley University and an undergraduate degree in communications from Boston University, in addition to post-graduate training.
Specialties
I have life-long interests in the nature of human mental health and optimal human functioning, with training in Three Principles/Health Realization psychology (a neo-cognitive approach), neurofeedback, hypnotherapy, NLP, person centered therapy, trauma informed therapy and stress reduction.

Background
Outside of work I spend time with Karen, my wife of over thirty years. I’m a dad and a stepdad. I’ve been a guitar player and songwriter for over fifty years and have played in the Boston area and on the North Shore. In the past I co-founded a coffeehouse and a songwriting collaborative. I enjoy biking, camping, reading and writing.
